LUA LifeCare Charity Run 2022

 

The 6th 'LUA LifeCare Charity Run 2022’, organized by The Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong (also known as the LUAHK) and The LUA FOUNDATION, will be held at the West Kowloon Cultural District on 13th November 2022. The Organizer will make a minimum of HKD$100,000 donation to each TWO beneficiaries, such as; the Hong Kong Transplant Sports Association and the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation. After the competition, everyone can stay behind and join the music carnival and other activities in the afternoon.

The theme of this year's event is "Share . Love", promoting volunteerism and share the power of love and care to all walks of life.

LUA LifeCare Charity Run 2022 features 10km / 3km individual and team races, and family fun run, Team Relay and LifeCare Due Run.

Let's run for charity together on 13th November 2022!

History

Inaugurated in 1973, the Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong Limited (“LUAHK”) is a voluntary organization of professional insurance intermediates destined for the sustainable development of the insurance industry in Hong Kong. Today we have more than 16,000 members and had become one of the most predominant organizations for insurance agents and intermediates in Hong Kong. LUAHK is also one of the founding members of Asia Pacific Financial Services Association (APFinSA). Currently, APFinSA has members all across Asia Pacific region including Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, India, Macau and Hong Kong.

Mission

The objective of LUAHK is to enhance and uphold the professionalism and ethical standard of the life insurance practitioners through the implementation of ethical code and code of conducts for its members. In addition, LUAHK also aims to provide further and continual education programs to its members and to mobilize its members to rebate the society by participating in charity and social service.

Please read the Rules and Regulations and collect the following information from you and your team members before registration.

Please prepare credit card information (Accept MASTER and VISA ONLY) for payment

Once the enrollment is completed, participants will receive a "Confirmation Email" to verify the registration immediately. Please check the registered info carefully. For any necessary update of the info, please contact us immediately at by email. If participants do not receive any confirmation email 3 days after the enrollment forms are submitted, please email  info@luacharityrun.com.hk to arrange resend.

MAKE DONATION

In order to compete the “The Top Fundraising Award”, all the payment(s) must be completed by 7th October 2022. Submission of donation after the deadline will be accepted but WILL NOT be counted.

  1. By Cheque
    Please send us the completed donation form together with a crossed cheque payable to “LUA Foundation Limited” by mail to LUA FOUNDATION "Units A-D, 23/F., Seabright Plaza, 9-23 Shell Street, North Point, Hong Kong" and mark “LUA LifeCare Charity Run 2022  Donation” on the envelope.

Donation Receipt:

  • Donations of HKD $100 or more are tax-deductible and the receipt will be issued according to the Name of Donors stated in the Donation Form. Once the donation form is submitted, any request of alteration of receipt information will not be served.

  • The receipts will be sent to the representative stated in the reply slip for distribution.

  • Official donation receipts will be issued within 3 months after the event (Tax exemption no.: 91/5473)。

AWARDS

  • Individual 10KM / 3KM
    A trophy will be awarded to the Champion and a A medal will be awarded to 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner-up of each age group.
     

  • Group Challenge
    The team result will be counted by the sum-up of finish time of the 4 runners.
    A trophy will be awarded to the Champion and a A medal will be awarded to 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner-up.

     

  • Team Relay (100km x 4pax)
    A trophy will be awarded to the Champion and a A medal will be awarded to 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner-up.
     

  • The Most Committed Organization Award
    The most company / organization with the most registered runners will be awarded.
     

  • The Top Fundraising Award (Company / Individuals)
    The Company and the Top THREE (3) individuals with the Highest fundraising amount will be awarded.
     

  • E-Certificate
    Each participant can download the e-Certificate after the race.
     

  • Finisher Medal
    Runners completing the race within the time limit will be awarded a Finisher Medal at the finish line on event day.
     

  • NFT (Non-Fungible Token) Finisher Medal
    Runners completing the race within the time limit will be awarded a NFT Finisher Medal.
    Remarks : Only those with METAMASK E-Wallet will be able to redeem the NFT Finisher Medal

The Hong Kong Transplant Sports Association is a non-profit organization established in 2008.  Its members are the people who have undergone major organ transplantation, organ donors (and their families), health care staff, and the people or organizations who are interested in or concerned about organ transplantation.

HKTSA's mission is to promote and organize different sport activities for the people who have undergone organ transplantation in order to develop their potential, and to provide a more positive and optimistic view towards their life. HKTSA also develops different programmes to make the general public to be more aware about organ donation.

Mission

To promote Equal Participation and Sports for All

Objectives

  1. To raise awareness of sports practice for people with visual impairment so as to achieve their best possible integration.

  2. To promote and contribute to the development of sport opportunities for people with visual impairment.

  3. To structure and regulate sports for people with visual impairment at international level.

  4. To provide coach education and development.

  5. To train elite athletes with visual impairment to take part in local and international competitions.

  6. To work closely with related sports organizations and NGOs rendering social services for the visually impaired in the identification of their talents for elite sports training.

  7. To co-operate with different sectors of the community, both local and overseas, in providing sports training programmes for people with visual impairment.
